Bhaskar Rao

Bhaskar Rao completed his B.F.A. in Painting from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam (1999), and M.F.A. in Painting from the University of Hyderabad (2001). His artworks draw inspiration from nature, specifically trees and green landscapes with pleasant, clear-blue skies and rolling meadows. These picturesque scenes create a pleasing environment that are complemented by the textures and colour-combinations envisioned by the artist. Rao has shown extensively across India, and has received the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Government of India; and a State-level Painting Award from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University, Andhra Pradesh. Bhaskar Rao lives and works in Bangalore.
